American Specialty Health Incorporated is seeking a Fax Administrator to support our Medical Necessity/Benefit Administration Department. This position will oversee all incoming faxes within the department
Remote Worker Considerations
Candidates who are selected for this position will be trained remotely and must be able to work from home in a designated work area with company-provided technology equipment. This remote/WFH position requires you have a stable connection to your Internet Service Provider with the ability to participate by video in online meetings over a reliable and consistent network (minimum internet download of 50 Mbps and 50 Mbps upload speed).
Responsibilities

- Oversees all incoming Medical Necessity Review (MNR) Forms received by fax, mail or electronically.
- Collects all faxes on an hourly basis
- Sorts, stamps, staple all faxes. The faxes should be divided into seven categories: MNR Forms, Resubmissions/ Modification Forms, Claims, Tracers, Personal Faxes, Miscellaneous, and Incomplete.
- Forwards MNR Forms and ReOpen/ Modification Forms to the Front End Supervisor within 15 minutes of every hour.
- Counts and logs the total number of faxes received hourly as well as the number of faxes each category received.
- Calls practitioners regarding any fax transmittal problems and document all phone calls in the communication log. A minimum of 35 calls must be made per day.
- Delivers faxes for other departments via interoffice envelopes.
- Sorts, logs, scan and forwards incoming MNR forms received by mail to Front End Supervisor upon receipt.
- Provides maintenance on the fax machines (change toner, etc.).
- Assist with state required calling for adverse determinations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required.
- From zero to one year general clerical experience.
