ABOUT THIS ROLE
As a Stockroom Clerk at Aero, you will be responsible for maintaining an accurate account of inventory within your assigned stations. This is an entry-level position, reporting to our Aircraft Records & Maintenance Planning Supervisor, with the opportunity to learn more about the aviation industry. In this role, you will effectively maintain inventory of aircraft parts, materials, and consumables by learning how to: enter data in the inventory tracking program, provide information to the Maintenance team for the purpose of maintenance planning, create various reports, and communicate daily with the Maintenance team and other Aero teammates. You will perform your duties in accordance with our Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program (CAMP), General Maintenance Manual (GMM), and other essential manuals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform inventory of Van Nuys (VNY) station stock of parts and other materials as well as other stations as assigned
- Document weekly inventory cycle counts and enter data in our inventory tracking program
- Create repair orders, ship materials to approved vendors for recertification, and return that inventory to stock
- Ship and receive all ordered materials and parts
- Assist with purchasing activities as directed by our Director of Maintenance
- Perform bi-weekly audits of calibrated tooling
- Assist and coordinate with our Maintenance Planning Analyst in providing parts and materials for forecasted and scheduled aircraft maintenance
- Maintain documentation for all lubricants and consumable chemicals in stock
- Maintain flammable cabinets for all lubricants and consumable chemicals in order to meet local and federal regulatory requirements
- Dispose of scrapped material and parts that are beyond economical repair (BER) in accordance with our GMM
- Other projects as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- Able to learn and understand Maintenance Tracking Programs (such as CAMPS, Flightdocs, CMP)
- Able to use our operating systems (proficient with Google Suite - especially Docs, Sheets, and Slides - preferred)
- Effective communication, both spoken and written
- High school diploma or GED (Associate’s degree in Aviation Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics preferred)
- Able to perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) guidelines, all Aero manuals, and Aero policies and procedures
- Physically capable of executing the duties of this position, including: lifting (up to 55 pounds), bending, squatting, kneeling, sitting and standing for extended periods of time
- Able to pass pre-employment drug testing

- Pay Range: $24-28 per hour in Los Angeles, CA. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
