It’s Work That Matters.
- Work with existing C2PLA Coalition in leading a research consortium that is focused on research activities occurring throughout Los Angeles County, including protocols implemented through the Adolescent Trials Network
- Coordinate with partners to obtain input for protocol development to ensure that the protocol meets the needs of young adults living in Los Angeles and can be successfully implemented
- Support the implementation of community partner events to build research relationships
- Recruit research participants at events where the target population is present; this will include weekend and evening hours
Required experience includes:
- History of collaborating with other agencies that provide HIV and other services to the LGBTQ+ communities in Los Angeles County
- Experience documenting activities to capture events and progress towards goals
- Demonstrated commitment to equity
Required skills include:
- Ability to lead meetings and describe research and the value of conducting research
- Ability to listen and engage with community partners and young adults
- Ability to create recruitment material (paper, electronic, or social media)
- Ability to utilize databases to track study activities
- Ability to work independently, an internal drive to follow up on study activities to ensure success, and detail oriented
Required knowledge includes:
- Knowledge of agencies and organizations in Los Angeles who provide care or conduct research activities related to HIV
- How to conduct research, human subjects protection, and ethical requirements in research

Pay Scale Information: USD $55,120.00 - USD $99,340.80CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
