Motion Picture Industry Pension & Health Plans (MPI) is seeking a Contribution Processing Associate to join our Contributions Processing team. This position will be responsible for editing hours reported on company systems by checking all edit/error codes and verifying data entry to ensure participants are credited with the correct hours worked.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years contribution processing experience or comparable work experience desired
- Data processing and/or accounting experience highly desirable
- Accurate typing skills of 45 wpm; 10-key by touch
- Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent spelling and grammar skills
- Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy is required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Excellent attendance and reliability, with the ability to work overtime/extended hours as required.
- Ability to accept direction and developmental guidance from supervisor

Responsibilities:
- Edit hours reported, including checking all edit/error codes and verifying data entry
- Contact employers regarding reported data or regarding reports that were submitted incorrectly and do all necessary follow ups to resolve issues
- Prepare Employer Contribution Reports for processing; data entry, calculating. and balancing report totals
- Verifying on-line deposit information.
- Contacting employers on unclear data and questionable hours and doing all necessary follow up.
- Prepare billing and/or credit requests as needed
- Review Employer Statements
- Assist in handling Billing/Credit Advice notices and participant inquiries as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
