About the Job
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Perform major cleaning tasks such as vacuuming (using a 25lb. vacuum daily for 3-4 hours).
- Wet mopping.
- Sweeping.
- Dusting.
- Emptying trash (lifting wastepaper and debris-minimum of 55 lbs).
- Cleaning and disinfecting drinking fountains.
- Clean restrooms, including floors and all fixtures (i.e.: Urinals, Toilets, Sinks, Mirrors, Partitions, and Counters).
- Ensure restrooms are clean and disinfected.
- Wash windows and sill (door glass).
- Filling dispensers.
- Stocking supplies in restrooms.
- Work on alternating weekends.
- Must be able to walk up and down stairs frequently, as well as regular bending and standing as needed in a daily shift.
- Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:
- Receives supervision from the Lead Supervisor.
- The position has no formal assigned supervisory responsibility or authority.
- Must complete jobs without constant supervision.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The principal duties of this position are performed in an indoor and/or outdoor environment. Works standing and walking for prolonged periods while cleaning and/or sanitizing the work area. Steps, stoops, crawls, climbs, lifts, bends, kneels, pulls, and pushes while performing job duties such as heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing or pulling required of objects up to 55 pounds. Physical work is a primary part of the job. The work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions. Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, cleaning chemicals, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
ALCOHOL AND DRUG TESTING POLICY:
This position is subject to the DLP Staffing, Drug-Free Workplace Policy which includes Post-Accident Testing, Random Testing, and/or Reasonable Suspicion Testing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must pass a federal background check.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Effective interpersonal/communication skills.
- Ability to understand written and verbal communications.
- Ability to understand verbal instructions.
- Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures. Effective grooming skills.
- Able to operate electronic devices for clocking in/out procedures. Ability to operate vacuums and other related equipment.
- Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Ability to lift, push/pull and manipulate heavy objects up to 55 pounds.
Other: Valid Drivers’ License Class C.
