What you’ll be doing as a Quality Assurance Specialist:
- Reviews consumer direct and indirect loan files, legal documents and supporting documentation to verify compliancy with regulatory statues, internal loan policy and procedures requirements as well as proper loan application processing, approvals, and funding guidelines within agreed timeframes.
- Performs documentation verifications, re-verifications and re-calculations including but not limited to: Income, Collateral Valuations, and Debt-to-Income Ratios.
- Reports findings to Management to assist with process improvements, mitigation of risk and staff development. Provide assistance in maintaining the QA database for reporting and tracking purposes relating to consumer direct and indirect loan files and audit findings.
- Processes and distributes QA Consumer loan reports in a timely manner as assigned.
- Reports loan exceptions to QA Management for further review.
- Makes recommendations to management for process improvements, operational efficiencies, and staff training opportunities.
- Provides quality member service to branch and department staff by way of telephone, electronic and in person.
- Acts as a subject matter expert in Consumer Lending, including but not limited to MFCU Lending Policies and procedures, and acts as a resource for branch and department personnel.
- Assists in training Branch and Department staff including but not limited to subjects regarding credit evaluation techniques, credit union systems, policies, and procedures required to produce a Quality Consumer Loan file that is acceptable to MFCU and Regulators.
- Presents and speaks professionally to multiple levels of Management in regards to consumer direct and indirect loan files and audit findings.
- Contributes to the writing and maintaining of QA department procedures.
Education: High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent is required.
Experience: A minimum of one year of financial institution experience to including consumer lending experience is required.
Software: Microsoft Office Suite, QA Tracking System (or other database reporting systems), CRIF, Internet, Symitar and other vendor specific systems.

Base Pay/Salary: $21.00 - $24.00 an hour
The hourly rate range that we expect to pay for this position is $21.00 - $24.00. Actual base pay within this range will be determined by several components, including but not limited to, relevant experience, internal equity, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
